Australian Batsmen David Warner has had a glorious summer, scoring centuries in both the test and one day series; however controversy has followed Warner with him being involved in an ugly incident with Indian batsman Rohit Sharma.
The incident in which Warner told Sharma to, ‘speak English’ has opened up debate on whether Warner is a good enough athlete for the Australian public to overlook the fact he’s a bit of a tool.
Former Australian Captain Ian Chappell weighed into the debate telling The (un) Australian, “David Andrew Walker is just what Australian cricket needs a great batsman who’s also a tool, he reminds me a bit of myself. “
